熊本もりもり!

僕は熊本学園大学の留学生だった。日本語で書いてみている、でもまだ下手だね、(これがもう見て知ってるだろう。^_^;) ごめん! I was an exchange student at Kumamoto Gakuen University, and I apologize for my horrid Japanese writing skills (or lack thereof).

These past 4 days straight have been spent saying goodbye to people. We've been getting up early each morning to see off different dormmates as they return to their respective countries. I'll be leaving in a mere few days myself.

It hasn't quite hit yet that I won't be hanging out at Jeff's Bar or Santuary with everyone anymore. No more karaoke or $1 sushi or midnight bentou runs. No more movie nights with Marika, Elaine, Sarah, Adam, Mike, Chris, and all the others. I know there's a good chance that some of these people I will never see again, but I'm going to do whatever I can to keep in touch.

そろそろ, it's about time to pick up where I left off in San Antonio.

I understand... I had to say goodbye to all of my housemates at Oxford and I've continually had to say goodbye to friends made here in Spain. At least my friends from Oxford live in the US so we might be able to meet each other again. And none of my friends made in Spain are really close, so it hasn't been too bad... I can imagine though, that being there a whole year, you've made some pretty cool friendships.

I also understand the weirdness of actually returning to the U.S. I've been in Europe for 7 months and my departure date has always been that day way off in the future... and now it's only 13 days away. It's crazy. We'll have to help each other with culture shock. You're welcome to come over whenever you'd like to hang out - though my first week back I won't be able to talk because my wisdom teeth will have been taken out but we can watch movies and eat ice cream!
