熊本もりもり!

僕は熊本学園大学の留学生だった。日本語で書いてみている、でもまだ下手だね、(これがもう見て知ってるだろう。^_^;) ごめん! I was an exchange student at Kumamoto Gakuen University, and I apologize for my horrid Japanese writing skills (or lack thereof).

(*tap tap* is this thing on?)

Wow. And I thought I was bad about updating my art blog!

I wonder if anyone still reads this? If so, hello and a thousand pardons for neglecting this blog. ごめなさい。

It's been over a year and a half since I returned to the States, and mostly I've been busy with school. I'm working on a double major in Math and Chemistry, hopefully to be followed by graduate school for a Masters or PhD, though I've yet to decide where. I still dream of returning to Japan again.

明けましておめでとう、Happy New Year, by the way. I haven't been able to properly say it in a timely manner to anyone this time around, but this past winter break was a sudden rush of multiple calamities which distracted me terribly. Still, I feel bad about not being able to send the card I bought for my host family. I'll just hope that it means all the bad stuff is already out of the way and I can look forward to an awesome year.

I hear the year of the Rat is on its way, which will hopefully be good news for me since I was born in '84 myself. I don't hold as much stock in the supernatural as I do in one's own strength, but a little luck certainly couldn't hurt. And speaking of birthdays, I've had two since I last updated... yes, I am once again a prime number (23). It's not all that exciting otherwise.

It would be nice to get back in touch with folks in Kumamoto, so I'll see what I can do about reviving this blog. Between McNair Scholarship work, chemical research, homework, and looking into grad schools, updates will likely be few and far between. (I just ended a sentence with the same word I used to start it, and a preposition no less; I'm sure this must be a literary faux pas, but as an inhumanities major I'm less inclined to care.)

So I'll add this to my list of goals. It will go right under re-learning to drive, honing my letter-crafting skills, and avoiding procrastination.

You know what the first thing on my list is? SLEEP.
おやすみなさい!
